Getting Here

Travel down unfamiliar roads and explore a brave new world. Less than two hours drive by car from Perth, you’ll soon be opening the window and touching the leaves of the trees in BunGeo.

By Road

Travelling south from Perth, driving takes approximately an hour and thirty minutes when travelling on the Kwinana Freeway and Forrest Highway. Bunbury can also be accessed via the South Western Highway, a more scenic route which will take drivers through many small towns including Pinjarra, Waroona and Harvey.

There are buses travelling to Bunbury and other towns in the BunGeo daily from around the state, including Perth. For more information about buses to and from Bunbury and throughout the BunGeo, call into the Bunbury Visitor Centre for booking tickets for; South West Coach Lines, or book online for the following; Herbies Shuttles and TransWa.

By Air

The Perth International and Domestic Terminals receive flights daily from all Australian capital cities and around the world, with car hire, bus transit and other modes of transportation available to those arriving. For more information about transportation from the International and Domestic Terminals, visit Perth Airport.

There are charter flights available to Bunbury’s airfield, including pickups from the Perth International and Domestic Terminals. See Bunbury Aero Club.

By Rail

The Australind train departs from the Perth Railway station to Bunbury twice daily. The train takes approximately two hours and thirty minutes, making stops along the way at a number of towns situated along the South Western Highway, including Yarloop, Cookernup, Harvey and Brunswick Junction. For booking of tickets and current timetables, log onto TransWa.

By Cruise Ship

As the City of Three Waters with significant port facilities, Bunbury is the perfect destination to arrive by cruise ship. On arrival, you will be offered a plethora of shore excursion options in Bunbury and travel through the stunning Geographe region.
